You’ve been hired to give a virtual or hybrid presentation, knowing that it’s only a matter of time before you client says: “we’ll keep the recording for 30 days for those who couldn’t attend your session.” As you hear yourself begrudgingly agree, you become frustrated as you give away your intellectual property for free, yet again. Instead, imagine the possibilities of repurposing your keynotes as licensed recordings, discovering a brand-new revenue stream, thanks to a pandemic that kept you locked up in your mouldy, musty office for what seemed to be an eternity.

The use-by date is the date on your contract. However, it IS possible to extend the keynote experience by learning how to position your presentations as licensed material, naturally preserved, and uploaded on your client’s LMS (learning management system) for as long as you decide.
