Ben Watts is the Head of Studio for Spotify in Australia and New Zealand. He is responsible for Spotify’s continuing expansion into podcasting and talk audio mediums for the region. This including working with everyone from grassroots creators just starting their audio journey, to commissioning and licensing podcast from some of ANZ’s most amazing audio creators. It also includes helping more and more Australians discover the magic of listening to podcasts each day. Having started his career as a journalist and editor for Rolling Stone, he followed his love of entertainment and audience engagement across the digital gamut from reality TV (Big Brother, The Block) to celebrity news (ninemsn), radio and podcasting (The ABC) and music streaming (Apple Music) before taking up his current role at Spotify.
